Community Planning & Zoning
Introduction
Laying out the land, to take advantage of the natural resources or layout, can be beneficial in many ways, even long into the future. Where is the best area to build the housing? How do we relate the different housing complexes with one another? There is affordability. While we all created equal, we have not all tapped into all the gifts, talents, and abilities equally. We all have strengths and weakness. Some are the same, but others are different. How close to or far from the houses do we want the business and manufacturing areas? Which area would yield the best return for our vegetable and small farm holdings?
What of the utility supplies? Where do we place the water, electric and gas distribution centers to the most cost effectiveness, and to maintain safety issues. These considerations and more have to not just be thought of but to be planed before they are implemented.
Who do we involve in the planing process? Usually in any town or city, separate divisions plan without consulting with one another. How can we plan with a greater unified outcome for one and all?
